ABSTRACT
Globalization is the latest catchphrase that has come to prevail globally since the 1990s. The primary reform efforts in India were initiated following a fiscal and foreign exchange crisis that placed it near default on its external loans. Hence, Indian globalization stems from internal decline and external pressure. The impact of globalization on the Indian economy in the post-globalization period is evident in the external sector - foreign exchange reserves, global trade, influx of foreign investment, etc. This paper examines the aspects of the
ongoing globalization process. This paper emphasizes the effects of globalization on the economy of India.
